supervision

work and wellbeing are not separate

don't let the name supervision fool you, it has nothing to do with overseeing or managing. Supervision centres on providing a safe space to reflect on your own, other's and the organisation's accountability and responsibility. Reflective practice thrives in a no blame environment where you are encouraged to be brave and curious and if comfortable and necessary, share your lived experiences. Growth centres around sharing uncomfortable thoughts without the fear of interrogation. Note that no information regarding any Hobajing yarn will be provided to anyone other than the client

live sessions are 60 minutes long and availabe in the Gundungurra/Tharawal (Robertson NSW) office or by phone or Zoom which may require updated technology and access to the internet. Appointments are available as early as 8am Australian Eastern Standard Time (or Daylight Savings from October to April) and can finish as late as 8pm.

what does supervision look like?

there are many definitions of supervision, at Hobajing Practice we probably go by the Healing Ways description the best ...

"Supervision is the process of being with a skilled, experienced and wise person who respectfully, caringly and honestly supports a worker to reflect on their work in a meaningful way, learn and grow as an Aboriginal worker in the context of working with community"

it is not management, performance development or task checking. Our supervisors are not sharing any information with your employer without your strict permission. The space is for you to go BLAH and for us to go SO HOW'S THAT GOING FOR YA?
